US rig recovery seen following prior cycle

Houston-An economic upturn in the oil industry, which many analysts believe will start showing up next year, could follow the pattern of the 2001-2002 cycle with respect to rig counts and take two to four years to return to utilization levels that would sustain US production, a top oilfield services analyst said May 21.
