Indian oil demand holds up in early 2009

Singapore—India’s oil products demand eased somewhat in the first two months of this year compared with December, but the country’s economic slowdown has not yet crimped consumption to the extent achieved by last summer’s $147/barrel oil prices, an analysis of the official data showed.
