CNPC gets operating rights to Sino-Myanmar oil line

Hong Kong-Chinese state oil giant China National Petroleum Corporation signed an agreement December 20 with Myanmar's energy ministry, securing exclusive rights to build and operate the Sino-Myanmar crude pipeline, CNPC said December 21. Myanmar has granted operating rights and a franchise for the pipeline to CNPC-controlled Southeast Asia Crude Pipeline Company, which is to be responsible for the construction and operation of the infrastructure.
