UK industry faces job losses, output collapse; Government committee recommends improved lending, investment climate

London-The UK's oil and gas industry faces the loss of some 50,000 jobs and a significant fall in production if lending and investment prospects do not improve, the UK's newly formed energy and climate change select committee said June 30.
