Towngas starts up China coalbed methane venture

Hong Kong-Shanxi Hong Kong & China Coalbed Gas Company has begun commercial operation of the first phase of a coalbed methane liquefaction plant in China's northern Shanxi province. A ceremony was held July 5 to mark the startup of the $98 million plant, which has a coalbed methane liquefaction capacity of 250,000 cubic meters/d.
