EU backs supercomputer use for fusion energy

London-The European Commission announced on January 23 that it plans to allow scientists working on nuclear fusion technology to tap the region's top supercomputers in the hope of speeding up development of the alternative energy source.The commission said the decision will allow scientists all over Europe dedicated access to DEISA, the network of the most powerful national supercomputers in Europe.
