Moscow-Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov is to discuss February 5 in Moscow cooperation with Russia, with a focus on energy projects, the Kremlin said February 4. The meeting comes just weeks after Bulgaria was the country the worst hit by the cutoff in Russian natural gas supplies to Europe via Ukraine. Bulgaria is entirely dependent on gas imports from Russia to meet its demand, and the suspension prompted calls for Bulgaria to diversify its energy supply.
