CME, ICE shares plunge on concerns over US regulation

Washington-Share prices for both CME Group and the IntercontinentalExchange fell sharply July 8 for the second straight day after the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission the previous day said it may take additional steps to limit speculation in energy markets. ICE stock was off 13% to $85.20/share and CME shares were down 6.4% at $263.90 on July 8 after dropping 11% and 5%, respectively, a day earlier.
