Sao Paulo-Brazil’s Petrobras is unlikely to take up the offer of a $10 billion loan from the country’s state development bank to fund investment projects in 2010, the bank’s president said February 6. “In 2010, we expect the [credit] market to have returned,” Luciano Coutinho, BNDES president, said during a news conference, “and that Petrobras will not need BNDES.”
