NYMEX crude jumps $2 on bullish EIA data

New York-November crude rallied $2.40 October 15 to settle at $77.58/barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, reacting to a bullish set of data released by the US Energy Information Administration. November RBOB settled 8.74 cents higher at $1.9449/gal and November heating oil settled 7.54 cents higher at $2.0181/gal. Refinery throughputs plummeted the reporting week ending October 9, falling 725,000 b/d to 14.295 million b/d, with the decrease occurring in every region across the US, an analysis of the data showed.
