US gasoline, distillate stocks build, says API; NYMEX crude, products rebound after two days of losses

New York-US gasoline and middle distillate stocks continued to build last week as demand showed little signs of improvement, an analysis of the weekly US oil data from the American Petroleum Institute showed June 23. Gasoline stocks increased 3.693 million barrels to 211.387 million barrels in the week ended June 19, which was 985,000 barrels above year-ago levels. Inventories of middle distillates climbed 2.343 million barrels to 153.888 million barrels, which left stocks 35.208 million barrels above a year ago. Higher refiner output and mediocre demand readings were behind the product stock builds.
