London-UK ethanol pioneer TMO Renew-ables is hoping to benefit from a fragile recovery in the global ethanol industry to secure a deal for its second-generation ethanol production technology in the US, CEO Hamish Curran said September 15. TMO, which operates the UK's only cellu-losic ethanol demonstration plant, has been talking to ethanol producers, oil companies and automakers since early 2008, seeking to license its proprietary biomass to ethanol process.
