Houston—Hercules Offshore has already received “some interest” in the 10 inland barges and six jackup drilling rigs that the contract driller is selling, a broker for Bas-soe Offshore said March 31.The jackups and barges, all retired assets that were built in the 1970s or early 1980s, can be sold either individually or as a package, Jim Mitchen, a broker for the offshore consultants and advisors, told Platts in an interview. Hercules retained Bassoe as broker for the units about a month ago.
