Washington-US Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced February 4 his department will not award leases on 77 parcels sold in a controversial oil and gas sale in Utah last December. The parcels are near national parks-”on the doorstep of national treasures”-Salazar said in a telephone briefing with reporters.
