CNOOC starts output at Panyu 30-1 in South China Sea

Hong Kong—Chinese offshore producer CNOOC Limited said March 18 it has begun production at its Panyu 30-1 field in the South China Sea, pumping about 30,000 Mcf/d of natural gas. PY30-1 is in the Pearl River Mouth Basin in the eastern region of the South China Sea, about 240 km southeast of Hong Kong. Average water depth of the field is around 200 meters.
