Mexico City-Mexico's government expects crude oil production of 2.5 million b/d in 2010, down from an estimate of 2.622 million b/d for this year, according to the 2010 federal budget proposal presented late September 8 by Agustin Carstens, the finance minister. Oil accounts for about one-third of federal income. Carstens said his budget was based on an average export price of $53.90/barrel in 2010, up from the $51/b expected this year.
