Houston—In the latest sign of the economically grim times, big global driller Transocean said in its latest fleet status report that it has placed a semisubmersible into “cold-stack”— its first deepwater rig to achieve that state in the current industry downturn.But analysts said April 3 that it is no surprise that the midwater semisubmersible, the GSF C.
