New York-Occidental Petroleum said February 13 it ended 2008 with worldwide proved reserves of 2.98 billion barrels of oil equivalent, up from 2.87 billion boe at year-end 2007.Oxy, in a statement, said it added total proved reserves of 463 million boe, before revisions, compared with production in 2008 of 221 million boe; that equates to a production replacement ratio of 210%.
