Russia agrees to allow Indian companies to develop new resources

Moscow-Russia and India are set to further expand energy cooperation to include participation by Indian companies in Russian upstream projects in the Arctic, East Siberia and Russia's Far East, Russia's Energy Ministry said November 27. The governments of the two countries are ready to support bilateral cooperation, the ministry said following a meeting between Russian Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko and his Indian counterpart Lurli Deora in New Delhi earlier this week.
