摘要

Jakarta-Indonesian energy policy, particularly in the natural gas sector, is unlikely to change significantly after the expected re-election for a second five-year term of incumbent President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Around 170 million Indonesians went to the polls last week in a presidential election which pitted Yudhoyono against his outgoing vice president, Jusuf Kalla, and opposition leader and ex-president, Megawati Sukarnoputri. Final election results were not yet through at presstime, but unofficial figures indicated Yudhoyono and his vice presidential partner Boediono, Indonesia's former economy coordinating minister and central bank governor, have won with around 60% of the vote.
