Rio de Janeiro—Bolivia, a key natural gas supplier in the Southern Cone region of South America, will not meet rising demand for its gas exports this year as new investments are likely to boost gas production by only 5% in 2008, Hydrocarbons Minister Carlos Villegas told reporters in La Paz late January 3, state news agency ABI reported.
