Singapore-Malaysia and Indonesia, which together account for 85% of global palm oil production, will implement mandatory blending of biofuels into fossil diesel early next year, the two countries said in a joint communication, a copy of which was obtained by Platts November 10.Malaysia will implement the blending of 5% palm-based methyl ester with fossil diesel from February 2009, according to a statement released November 7 by its Ministry of Primary Industries and Commodities.
