Serbia signs over control of NIS to Russia in energy pact

Moscow—Russia and Serbia January 25 signed a wide-ranging energy deal, giving Rus- sia’s Gazprom control over Serbia’s oil industry and gas infrastructure in the Balkan state and securing Serbia’s place as a transit country for a major gas pipeline to Europe from Russia.
