Ecuador’s crude exports decline, but value rises in 2007

Quito—Ecuadorean crude exports dropped 9.2% in 2007 to 124.098 million barrels but were worth more, the country’s Central Bank said February 11. The exports were worth 7.428 billion in 2007, or 7.1% more than the 6.934 billion in 2006 due to an 18% hike in the average price of Ecuador’s crude to 59.86/barrel.
