Vietnam secures gasoil for Dung Quat refinery tests

Singapore-Vietnam's first refinery, at Dung Quat in the central Quang Ngai province, has secured sufficient gasoil to generate power for its test operations with the arrival of a tanker from Singapore over the weekend, the local government reported. The Eagle Milwaukee, carrying 52,000 mt of gasoil, docked at the refinery's single-point mooring on November 16. The fuel is to be pumped through an underwater pipeline into a storage tank in the refinery complex, the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee said on its web site. The latest shipment will take gasoil in storage at the 130,000 b/d refinery, owned by state oil company PetroVietnam, to about 65,000 mt.
