Sinopec gets 1.74 billion in fuel subsidy

Hong Kong—China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, or Sinopec, received Yuan 12.3 billion (1.74 billion) in subsidy from the Chinese government to partly offset losses it incurred from selling oil products at state-capped prices in 2007 and the first quarter of 2008, the Chinese integrated oil group said.
