South Korean group to build Thai LNG plant

Seoul—A South Korean consortium led by GS Engineering & Construction has won a 540 million deal to build an LNG facility in Thai- land, company officials said January 23. The consortium has signed a contract with Thailand’s PTT LNG to build the LNG facil- ity to be located at Map Ta Phut in Rayong, southeast of Bangkok, GS Engineering said in a filing to the local stock exchange. PTT LNG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Thailand’s state-owned oil and gas company PTT.
