Singapore—PetroChina broke ground April 18 on its proposed LNG import terminal at the port city of Dalian in the northeastern province of Liaoning, local media reported. The Dalian project, which obtained final central government approval in February, is sited in the Nianyu Bay area of the Dagushan peninsula, according to a report on the People's Daily web site. The facility will have a berth capable of accepting LNG vessels of 140,000-270,000 cubic meters, the report said.
