Dubai—First commercial gas from the Khaz-zan/Makaram gas fields being developed by BP in Oman is expected in 2011 with initial estimates pointing to reserves of 30 Tcf of tight gas, enough to meet over a quarter of the Gulf Sultanate’s gas needs, the BP executive in charge of the development has said.
