New York—A strike by one of Petrobras’ oil workers unions seems unlikely, a union spokeswoman said August 4. It is “practically certain” that workers with the Norte Fluminense union in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro will vote August 5 to avoid a strike, union spokeswoman Fernanda Viseu said by phone, adding that an assembly of union members will officially vote on the proposal at midday August 5.
