Houston—The US Minerals Management Service suggested October 7 that operators in the Gulf of Mexico consider alternatives to pipelines for resumption of oil deliveries as recovery from Hurricane Ike remained stalled with 45% of the region’s 1.3 million b/d of oil production still curtailed and offshore pipeline assessments continuing.
