Singapore—The Indian government might ask Indian Oil Corporation to import between 2 million and 2.5 million mt of gasoil over the next six months to help plug some of the expected shortfall in domestic supply caused by burgeoning demand for the distillate, a source at the largest state-owned refiner and marketer said September 30.
