NYMEX crude moves lower after reaching fresh high

New York—August crude futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange settled 21 cents lower at 140/barrel June 30 after hitting an all-time intra-day high of 143.67/b. A 50-point reversal to the upside in the US Dollar Index on ICE and an about-face of 150 points from low to high in the Dow Jones Industrial Average caused crude prices to retreat from the intra-day high.
