Anadarko sells part of Gulf K2 field for 1.2 billion

Houston—Besides moving another step closer to its 11 billion to 15 billion divestiture goal, Anadarko Petroleum also boosted expectations for the potential of the K2 complex in the Gulf of Mexico with announcement March 12 of a deal to sell 23.2% of that field to two undisclosed buyers for 1.2 billion.
