Australian juniors post higher underlying profits

Sydney—Australian junior Roc Oil February 28 posted generating profits of A37.9 million (30 million) for 2006, up from A300,000 in 2005. But the net result for the year was a loss of A59.6 million after exploration expense of A68.7 million. Roc had a profit of A45.6 million in 2005, which included an A81.3 million gain from the sale of the Saltfleetby gas field in the UK.
