Japan’s January product shipments decline 9.7%

Tokyo—Japan’s total shipments of refined oil products fell 9.7% year on year to 21.21 million kiloliters (133.42 million barrels or 4.3 million b/d) in January, according to preliminary figures released February 28 by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The domestic products shipment figure for January was down 8.3% from December.
