BP eyes first oil from EastAzeri by year-end

London-BP aims to start production from the East Azeri platform,part of the Caspian Sea Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli development,before the end of this year,two months earlier than planned,a senior company official said July 21. "First oil from EA is planned to be achieved before the end of 2006,a couple of months ahead of schedule," David Woodward, head of BP Azerbaijan,said in a briefing. Once fully developed,East Azeri is expected to pro- duce up to 260,000 b/d of oil.
