PTT eyes ConocoPhillips' 147 Thai retail outlets

Bangkok-Thailand's state-owned PTT has submitted a bid to buy 147 retail petroleum outlets put up for sale earlier this year by US major ConocoPhillips, PTT President Prasert Bunsumpun said November 28. PTT is one of a number of oil companies looking to buy ConocoPhillips' retail network. Shell and Malaysian state-owned oil company Petronas are also reported to be interested in the assets. ConocoPhillips operates gasoline pumps and attached convenience stores under the JET and JIFFY brands in Thailand. The company does not have any other operations in the kingdom.
