Yukos bankruptcy no grounds to stop license withdrawals: ministry

Moscow-Russia's Natural Resources Ministry has rejected an appeal by the liquidation manager of bankrupt Russian oil producer Yukos not to revoke some of its licenses until bankruptcy proceedings against the company are completed, the manager's press office said November 24. "Meeting [Yukos] creditors' demands cannot serve as grounds for suspending the procedure of revoking its rights for soil usage," the country's Natural Resources Minister Yuri Trutnev told in a letter to the liquidation manager Leonid Rebgun, the press office said.
