APT joins in eastern Australian gas link plan

Sydney-Australian Pipeline Trust has joined Epic Energy in its front-end engineering and design program for a gas pipeline linking the Ballera and Moomba gas processing hubs in central Australia, the two companies said in a statement November 10. The proposed 180 km (112 mile) North Gas Link would connect Epic Energy's South West Queensland Pipeline with both Epic's Moomba to Adelaide Pipeline and APT's Moomba to Sydney Pipeline. Epic initially unveiled plans for a solo six-month FEED study costing around A400,000 (307,000) in August.
