London-BP said April 5 its first quarter oil and gas production slipped by almost 2% year-on-year to 4.025 million barrels of oil equivalent/day,reflecting continued hurricane-related outages in the US Gulf. In a quarterly trading update,BP said first quarter oil production was little changed from the prior quarter after lower production from Russian venture TNK-BP offset a partial return of US production hit by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
