Chesapeake to shut in some US gas output

Washington-Chesapeake Energy said September 27 it will shut in part of its unhedged US natural gas production "in light of currently low wellhead prices."Effective October 1, the Oklahoma City-based independent plans to curtail 100,000 Mcf/d of net production across the Southwest until gas prices "recover from recently depressed levels."
