The International Energy Agency March 14 slashed its estimate of world oil demand growth in 2006 by 300,000 b/d,saying there was clear evidence high prices were eroding demand for oil in Southeast Asia.Oil demand elsewhere,notably in key consuming countries China and the US,remains healthy,however,and with spare output capacity expected to remain limited,prices are likely to be supported for some time to come,the lEA said in its latest monthly oil market report.
