London-The Tunisian government has officially invited bids from companies interested in building a new refinery in the country with a capacity of at least 120,000 b/d,a source from state oil company ETAP said Dec 14. Government interest in the project,which will convert Tunisia from a net importer of products into a net exporter,has grown not just from a desire for self-sufficiency in refining but also because of high fuel prices this year,the source said.
