Alaska extends decision on Point Thomson plan

Anchorage-Alaska Natural Resource Commissioner Mike Menge has extended deadlines on work commitments at the Point Thomson gas and condensate field to May 31. The decision to give operator ExxonMobil and other Point Thomson leaseowners an extension was made Dec 10 but documents were released Dec 14.Point Thomson is 60 miles east of Prudhoe Bay on the North Slope and holds some 8 Tcf of gas and 200-mil bbl of condensate.
