OMV net up on higher prices,volumes

London-Austria's OMV saw its profits jump in the second quarter on the back of high oil and gas prices,increased downstream volumes and refining margins and the inclusion of its recently-acquired 51% stake in Romania's Petrom.The company's net income rose to Eur383-mil(466-mil)for the quarter,up 85% from Eur207-mil in the same period of 2004 despite a decline in upstream output and a fall in profits from its natural gas business.
