The Poseidon-Mars Blend cash crude spread continues to trade at minus 12.5 cents/b despite Poseidon remaining the better quality grade, trading sources said Thursday. Poseidon has so far this month registered an average gravity of roughly 30 API with under 2% sulfur content, according to sources. Mars Blend in May had average API gravity of 28.94 with average sulfur content of 2.104%.
