Asia gasoline cracks surged by well over $l/barrel Tuesday, on the back of strong bidding interest and brief refinery outages. A recent spate of refinery problems saw prompt demand for mid- and high-octane emerge from Oman and Malaysia, while a delay in the startup of an RFCC at Taiwanese refiner Formosa also underpinned strength in the low octane market.
