Indian jet fuel prices off but still double world average

Singapore-India's three major state-owned refiners and marketers have slashed jet fuel prices for domestic airlines in the country's four metropolitan areas by 15-17% effective November 1 from levels set for October,but the rates remain well above the global average.This is the steepest decline since Indian Oil Corporation,Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited started easing jet fuel prices in September.The rates are applicable for the first fortnight of November and will be revised mid-month.
