Asian refiners trim runs on weaker demand,margins

Tokyo-Asian refiners have again trimmed planned crude runs for January-February on weakening product demand in Japan and declining margins in South Korea.Japanese refiner Taiyo Oil has further lowered its January crude throughput to 100,000 b/d,a company official said January 28.Just last week,the company said it would cut its January crude run to 105,000 b/d from its initially planned 110,000 b/d,due to soft demand for gasoline and middle distillates.
